Student pricing

Everything in Pro, for $3 a month

A semester is one long conversation — lectures, problem sets, a literature review, a thesis, the group project nobody wants to own. You have it across ChatGPT in the morning, Claude at night, and Cursor for the assignment that's actually code. Every one of them forgets, and none of them talk to each other.

Engram stores what you actually said — verbatim, searchable by meaning — and makes it available in all of them. Stop re-explaining your research question for the fifth time.

What $3 gets you

It is the Pro plan, priced differently — not a cut-down tier.

Honestly: the free tier's 10,000 messages is a lot, and plenty of students never need to pay. Start there.

Verifying takes about a minute

1

Create a free account

No card. The free tier is 10,000 messages, which is enough to decide whether this is useful before you pay anything.

2

Open the Student section on your dashboard

Enter your university address — the one your institution issued you, not your personal Gmail.

3

Click the link we email you

One-time, valid for an hour. It confirms the address is actually yours.

4

Upgrade at $3/month

The student price appears on your dashboard once you're verified. It lasts 12 months, then one re-verification email.

We recognise .edu, .ac.uk, .edu.auand most academic domains worldwide, including institution subdomains. If yours isn't recognised, email us and a human will add it.

The honest part

The check proves you control a university mailbox. It does not prove you're enrolled this semester — an alumnus with a live address would pass too. We decided reach matters more than leakage at this price, and the yearly re-verification is the only thing keeping it roughly honest. We'd rather say that than imply a rigour we don't have.

Student pricing exists because a doctoral student emailed and asked for it. If something you need is missing, that is still how it works — write to us.

Save one real conversation, then ask a different AI about it. That test takes two minutes and tells you everything.
