Connect Engram to any AI
Engram is one memory that every tool can read. Connect it once per app — most take under a minute, and the same conversations show up everywhere.
The only thing most apps ask for
https://mcp.getengram.app/mcpPaste that and sign in. Your API key lives on your dashboard if an app asks for one instead.
Sign in — no API key
These connect over OAuth. You paste the server URL, approve once, and they handle the rest.
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors → Add.
- Paste the Engram server URL (copied for you).
- Sign in with Engram and click Authorize.
Claude
- Open Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste the Engram server URL (copied for you).
- Sign in with Engram and click Authorize.
- On iPhone/Android: add it here on claude.ai first — it then syncs to the mobile apps automatically. Claude mobile can use remote connectors but cannot add one.
Gemini
- Open gemini.google.com on a computer → Settings → Connected Apps.
- Under "Custom apps", choose "Add a custom app".
- Paste the Engram server URL (copied for you), then click Next.
- Sign in with Engram and authorize. Use @ in chat to call it.
- Google requires a personal account, 18+, US, and Keep Activity on.
Perplexity
- Open Perplexity → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Choose "Remote" and paste the Engram server URL (copied for you).
- Pick OAuth, then sign in with Engram and authorize.
- Custom connectors require a Pro, Max, or Enterprise plan.
Mistral Le Chat
- Open Le Chat → Connectors → + Add Connector.
- Switch to the "Custom MCP Connector" tab.
- Give it a name (no spaces) and paste the Engram server URL.
- Click Connect — Le Chat detects OAuth and walks you through sign-in.
- Available on all plans; the account owner is the admin by default.
Paste a config snippet
Editors and command-line tools read a config file. Swap engram_sk_live_YOUR_KEY_HERE for your own key from the dashboard.
Claude Code
Run these in Claude Code, then restart it:
/plugin marketplace add get-engram/engram
/plugin install engram@engramCursor
Create .cursor/mcp.json in your project (then restart Cursor):
{
"mcpServers": {
"engram": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.getengram.app/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer engram_sk_live_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
}
}
}
}Kimi Code
Run this in your terminal, then restart Kimi Code:
kimi mcp add --transport http engram https://mcp.getengram.app/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer engram_sk_live_YOUR_KEY_HERE"Codex
Add to ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.engram]
url = "https://mcp.getengram.app/mcp"
[mcp_servers.engram.http_headers]
Authorization = "Bearer engram_sk_live_YOUR_KEY_HERE"Windsurf
Add to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json (then refresh in Cascade):
{
"mcpServers": {
"engram": {
"serverUrl": "https://mcp.getengram.app/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer engram_sk_live_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
}
}
}
}VS Code
Create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace:
{
"servers": {
"engram": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.getengram.app/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer engram_sk_live_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
}
}
}
}What doesn't work yet
Engram speaks the Model Context Protocol, so it works anywhere MCP does. A few apps haven't added custom connectors yet — that's on their side, and when they ship it Engram works with no change from us.
- Kimi Chat — the consumer app has no connector surface. Kimi Code, the command-line tool, works today and is listed above.
Using something not on this page? If it supports MCP, the server URL at the top is all it needs — and if you get stuck, tell us and we'll add it.
